The walk is organised by Pendleside Hospice and Burnley Pendleside Rotary Club to raise money for Pendleside, with £5 of each registration fee going to other local charities who are supported by the Rotary Club.
This year it is expected that over 2,000 walkers will take part in the 13-mile walk (approx.), which is made up of a combination of countryside and road-walking. The walk is a circular route through some of Pendle’s most scenic countryside. Along the route there will be a number of official venues for you to have a rest, purchase refreshments and enjoy live entertainment. This year’s official venues will be confirmed in the coming months… follow the ‘Pendle Pub Walk’ Facebook page for the most up to date information.
All walkers must ‘check-in’ at one of the two designated check-in points on the day between 10am – 12 noon – Thatch and Thistle (Barrowford) or Pendle Inn (Barley). You can start your walk at any point along the route, but make sure to pass through a check-in point during the times stated. The event will officially end at 8pm.
The event is kindly sponsored by Alderson and Horan Funeral Services.
