DESCRIPTION:Join us for 16th annual Pendle Pub Walk\, kindly sponsored by Alderson and Horan Funeral Services\, around the stunning Pendle countryside using its finest hostelries as way-points. \nThe walk is organised by Pendleside Hospice and Burnley Pendleside Rotary Club to raise money for Pendleside\, with £6 of each registration fee going to other local charities who are supported by the Rotary Club. \nThis year it is expected that over 2\,000 walkers will take part in the 13-mile walk (approx)\, which is made up of a combination of countryside and road-walking. The walk is a circular route through some of Pendle’s most scenic countryside. Along the route there will be a number of official venues for you to have a rest\, purchase refreshments and enjoy live entertainment. \nREGISTER TODAY

SUMMARY:Mountain Bike Challenge
DESCRIPTION:After the success of the first Mountain Bike Challenge last year the event will be held again this year. \nA series of mountain bike routes tackling the bridleways in and around Pendle\, taking in some beautiful villages and at the same time raising vital funds for Pendleside Hospice.\n3 routes are planned\, named after 3 of the witches of Pendle: \n\nDemdike – 9.5 miles\nChattox – 22 miles\nNutter – 32 miles\n\nThese routes are suitable for intermediate mountain bike riders\, minimum age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.\nThere will be feeder stations at various locations around the routes. \nRegistration includes a t-shirt. Please note t-shirts are bought to order\, if in doubt please size up as exchanging will not be possible. \nREGISTER TODAY

This year’s official venues will be confirmed in the coming months… follow the ‘Pendle Pub Walk’ Facebook page for the most up to date information. \nAll walkers must ‘check-in’ at one of the two designated check-in points on the day between 10am – 12 noon – Thatch and Thistle (Barrowford) or Pendle Inn (Barley). You can start your walk at any point along the route\, but make sure to pass through a check-in point during the times stated.
