SUMMARY:Barnoldswick and Earby Rotary: Static Bike Ride Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Teams of 3 people can enter\, each rider will ride for 20 minutes. Prizes are given to teams who travel the furthest distance over the hour. Teams can enter using the QR code / Just Giving page prior to this event\, or you can sign up on the day. This year will be also giving people who are not in a team the chance to ride for 3 minutes with a prize for who travels the furthest distance. \nAlong with the the challenge\, there will also be stalls and family entertainment! \nTicket Prices \n\n£30 per team of 3\n£2 per person for individual challenge\n\nEntries for this can be on the day.

DESCRIPTION:After the success of the first Mountain Bike Challenge last year the event will be held again this year. \nA series of mountain bike routes tackling the bridleways in and around Pendle\, taking in some beautiful villages and at the same time raising vital funds for Pendleside Hospice.\n3 routes are planned\, named after 3 of the witches of Pendle: \n\nDemdike – 9.5 miles\nChattox – 22 miles\nNutter – 32 miles\n\nThese routes are suitable for intermediate mountain bike riders\, minimum age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.\nThere will be feeder stations at various locations around the routes. \nRegistration includes a t-shirt. Please note t-shirts are bought to order\, if in doubt please size up as exchanging will not be possible. \nREGISTER TODAY

SUMMARY:Pendle Pub Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for 16th annual Pendle Pub Walk\, kindly sponsored by Alderson and Horan Funeral Services\, around the stunning Pendle countryside using its finest hostelries as way-points. \nThe walk is organised by Pendleside Hospice and Burnley Pendleside Rotary Club to raise money for Pendleside\, with £6 of each registration fee going to other local charities who are supported by the Rotary Club. \nThis year it is expected that over 2\,000 walkers will take part in the 13-mile walk (approx)\, which is made up of a combination of countryside and road-walking. The walk is a circular route through some of Pendle’s most scenic countryside. Along the route there will be a number of official venues for you to have a rest\, purchase refreshments and enjoy live entertainment. \nREGISTER TODAY

SUMMARY:The Great Iceland Trek for Pendleside Hospice
DESCRIPTION:Discover active volcanoes and vast lava fields\, bubbling mud pools\, hot springs and more whilst raising much needed funds in aid of Pendleside Hospice!\nWe will be hiking to Iceland’s youngest volcano\, Gelgingaldir and neighbouring Fagradaslsfjall before exploring the ethereal peaks of the Mount Hengill heritage site – scaling the impressive Vörðuskeggi Peak with spectacular views over Lake Þingvellir\, and Eyjafjallajökull and the distant Westman Islands. Our adventures will also see us trek along the fault lines between Europe and America. \nDon’t forget to keep your eyes to the skies while you are there and you might be lucky enough to experience Lady Aurora herself! \nThis trek is graded moderate to challenging. You will be trekking long distances over varying terrain over consecutive days.
