SUMMARY:The Great Pendleside Trek 2024
DESCRIPTION:Following last year’s success\, we’re very excited to bring back ‘The Great Pendleside Trek!\nThe circular 35 mile endurance event will take place on Saturday 7th September starting and finishing at Pendleside Hospice. \nThe Great Pendleside Trek will take in some of Burnley and Pendle’s beautiful countryside\, including Pendle Hill and part of the Pendle Way. Participants can choose to run or walk the route. Walkers will set off at 6am and runners will set off at 8am. If you intend to run the route or part of the route\, you must set off at 8am. All participants are required to finish no later than 9pm. \nParticipants have the option to complete the full 35 mile route or finish at either Barley (13 mile) or Laneshawbridge (21 mile) aid stations. The 6 aid stations will be positioned at various points along the route approximately every 5-7 miles (Sabden\, Barley\, Colne\, Wycoller\, Thursden Valley and Worsthorne). All participants must check in at each point with staff/volunteers on the day at each aid station. \nPlease note\, participants will need to arrange their own transport to the start point (Pendleside Hospice- limited parking on site available) and from their chosen end point. \nThe Great Pendleside Trek is not a race and therefore will not be timed. For participants wishing to time themselves we suggest using an app such as Strava\, fitness watch etc. \nRegistration fee\nRegistration fee for this event is:\nAdults- £30\nChildren- £15 (min age 12 years old) \nFor more information or to sign up\, click here. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Barnoldswick and Earby Rotary: Static Bike Ride Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Teams of 3 people can enter\, each rider will ride for 20 minutes. Prizes are given to teams who travel the furthest distance over the hour. Teams can enter using the QR code / Just Giving page prior to this event\, or you can sign up on the day. This year will be also giving people who are not in a team the chance to ride for 3 minutes with a prize for who travels the furthest distance. \nAlong with the the challenge\, there will also be stalls and family entertainment! \nTicket Prices \n\n£30 per team of 3\n£2 per person for individual challenge\n\nEntries for this can be on the day.
